Meeting Description:
The Academic Writing for Africa Workshop is designed to ensure the continuity
of knowledge development, expansion and transfer from seasoned senior
academics to upcoming junior ones and to create a platform for the generation,
development, and sharing of current research ideas among budding scholars
under the tutelage of specialists in the various sub-fields of the Humanities:
Philosophy, Linguistics, Language Studies, Mass Communication, Religious
Studies, etc, where scholarship is declining, or needs to be enkindled and
sustained. The workshop is also an opportunity for young researchers and
postgraduate students to share research experiences, discuss research
problems, present research work/findings, acquaint themselves with new
ideas/theories/methodologies and acquire the skills necessary for a successful
academic writing.
