Meeting Description:

The Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese at Penn State University is
pleased to announce the 5th Penn State Undergraduate Exhibition in Hispanic
and General Linguistics (PSUxLING-5).  PSUxLING brings together current and
former undergraduate students interested in any area of linguists to share
their research and to gain further knowledge in the field of linguistics.
Students will have the opportunity to present their research at a two-hour
poster session, to attend two keynote talks by leading researchers in the
field, and to talk to undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty in
the Department of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese (http://sip.la.psu.edu) and
in the Center for Language Science at Penn State (http://cls.psu.edu). 

Keynote speakers: 

Dr. Kara Morgan Short (University of Illinois, Chicago)
Dr. Travis Bradley (UC Davis).


Call for Papers:

Would you like to share your research findings and research ideas in
linguistics? How about learning about the diverse career opportunities you
could have with a linguistics degree? The Department of Spanish, Italian, and
Portuguese at Penn State University is pleased to announce the 5th Penn State
Undergraduate Exhibition in Hispanic and General Linguistics (PSUxLING-5). 
PSUxLING brings together current and former undergraduate students interested
in any area of linguists to share their research and to gain further knowledge
in the field of linguistics. Students will have the opportunity to present

We invite current undergraduate students and former undergraduate students not
currently enrolled in a graduate program to submit up to one single-authored
and one jointly-authored abstract for consideration on any topic related to
Hispanic or General Linguistics. Abstracts should be between 350 and 500 words
long, not including references, and should be submitted using the Abstract
Submission form on our website, www.psuxling.com/abstract-submission . 

Abstract submission deadline: Monday August 20, 2018. Notification of
acceptance: September 03, 2018.
