Meeting Description:

The main topics of the conference are: studies in the field of modern Hebrew,
problems of Hebrew teaching, modern Hebrew literature, Yiddish studies,
Yiddish teaching issues, Yiddish literature, Jewish languages, Yiddish and
Ladino. Working languages of the conference are Hebrew (sections devoted to
Hebrew studies), as well as English, Yiddish and Russian (sections devoted to
Yiddish studies). 


Call for Papers:

The Department of Jewish Culture of St. Petersburg State University in
cooperation with the International Center for University Teaching of Jewish
Civilization at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Interregional
Center for Hebrew Teaching are pleased to invite you to participate in the 3rd
International Conference ''Hebrew and Yiddish in the Context of Modern
Education and Culture''.

The conference will be held on September 3-6, 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia
at the St. Petersburg State University (V.O., Mendeleevskaya linjia, 5).

In the application it is necessary to indicate the title of the lecture, an
abstract of up to 600 words in the language of the lecture and in English, as
well as the full name of the participant, academic degree, academic title (if
any), place of work or study, job description, phone numbers and e-mail
address. Application deadline is June 1, 2018.
