Meeting Description:
AZCALL is a one-day conference held each year that brings together
computer-assisted language learning enthusiasts from around the state and
region to share ideas, network, and receive valuable feedback on scholarly
research, academic papers, and major conference presentations which are in
progress or preparation. We are very pleased to host Dr. Steve Thorne
(Portland State University) and Dr. Jonathon Reinhardt (University of Arizona)
as our invited speakers.
This year, AZCALL will be held on November 10, 2018 at the ASU Tempe Campus.
2nd Call for Papers:
We've extended our deadline for abstract submissions. The new deadline is
August 24, 2018 by midnight Arizona Time.
We seek proposals for paper and technology fair presentations from researchers
and developers working in any area of computer-assisted language learning and
teaching. We particularly welcome proposals with well-defined theoretical
frameworks connected to research in SLA, CALL, L2 pedagogy, and related
fields. Projects displaying innovative research methods and topics are highly
encouraged.
Paper presentations will last 20 minutes, followed by a 10 minutes Q&A
Tech-fair presentations may showcase specific tools, apps, or other CALL
materials. There will be two dedicated time slots on the program (30-minutes
each) for tech-fair presentations. Presenters are asked to be available for
both 30-minute time slots.
