Meeting Description:
The Minnesota Undergraduate Linguistics Symposium (MULS) is dedicated to
promoting the study of linguistics by undergraduates in Minnesota and
surrounding states by sharing exemplary undergraduate research and fostering a
dialogue between students of linguistics and other language-related topics
across various institutions.
Call for Papers:
We are pleased to accept papers for the sixth annual Minnesota Undergraduate
Linguistics Symposium (MULS), which will be held on April 13, 2019 on the
University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis, MN.
MULS is an annual event that is dedicated to promoting the study of
linguistics by undergraduates in Minnesota and the greater Midwest area by
sharing exemplary undergraduate research and fostering a dialogue between
students of linguistics and other language-related topics across various
institutions.
The event will consist of both oral and poster presentations. Oral
presentations will be 15 minutes with 5 minutes for questions afterwards.
Poster presentations will occur simultaneously during the afternoon poster
session.
If you are interested in participating in MULS, please prepare an abstract
following these general guidelines:
500 words, minimum 11 point font, Times New Roman, single spaced, with a
second page for graphs, figures and references. Examples should be
interspersed in the text.
Abstracts may be submitted here (https://easychair.org/cfp/MULS2019). The
deadline for submission is February 22 at 11:59pm CT.
