Book Title: The Iranian Digital Diaspora
Publishing company: Initial interest by Routledge Taylor & Francis Group
The book is focused on issues surrounding the Iranian migrants and their use
of Internet technology in the diaspora. It covers an array of topics such as:
- virtual community formation
- Social media and migration
- online identity negotiation
- online identity construction/co-construction
- Persian Language/culture and identity
- old and new ties from/within/across diasporas
- virtual narratives of migration
- Ethnic and virtual communities and integration in/isolation from the host
society
We are interested in original research on Iranian migrants and their use of
Internet technology in the diaspora covering a range of sociolinguistic,
socio-cultural, cross-cultural, and comparative topics.
Call for Chapter Proposals:
Researchers and practitioners on Iranian migrants and Internet technology from
around the world are invited to submit a chapter proposal (up to 500 words)
that explains how the chapter would fit within the focus and scope of the book
to Dr. Sam Zare at sam.zare at xjtlu.edu.cn. The deadline for submission is:
