Interfaces hosted by the linguistics department at Konstanz University.
The project investigates the syntax, meaning and pragmatics of questions that
do not explicitly ask for an answer. Special focus will be on Japanese and the
project work program anticipates a field trip to Japan (Aoyama Gakuin
University) to collect data. The project proposal will be sent to you on
request.
The linguistic department at the University of Konstanz offers a lively and
internationally well-connected research environment. Students are integrated
in academic life and research at all levels. The research unit offers PhD

funding for PhD students to attend international workshops and conferences in
order to present their results. The region with lake Constance, the Alps and
medieval town offers an attractive habitat for life and research.
