Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Office package or equivalent;
- Mother tongue speaker of Romanian, Greek, Lithuanian, Czech, Maltese.
Subtasks list includes:
- Laudatory terms and prefixes
(the annotator will be required to translate a list of English prefixes into
the target language, providing them with semantics and marking those that
convey a complimentary or superlative meaning);
- Slang and Netspeak
(the annotator will manually compile a comprehensive list of informal language
words and web-peculiar lexicon as used in the target language);
- Written pronunciation
(the annotator will work closely with a computer scientist in order to create
a set of rules indicating how a target language speaker would read words from
an English repository);
- Alternative spelling
(the annotator will provide a list of common alternative writings as used in
the target language);
- Potentially offensive words/meanings
(the annotator will translate a list of English lemmas, associating them to
the pertaining domain, i.e. derogatory, sexual, vulgar, violent, or
culturally-delicate);
- Expectation dataset
(the annotator will be provided with a list of trademarks among which the ones
which have a meaning in the target language should be highlighted.
