Meeting Description:
El I Congreso de Estudiantes de Lenguas Modernas y Aplicadas (CELMA) tendrá
lugar el 26 de abril de 2019 en la Universitat Pompeu Fabra en Barcelona.
El congreso pretende ser un entorno de apoyo en el cual estudiantes de grado
de todas las áreas de estudio de la lengua (lingüística teórica y aplicada,
traducción, etc.) puedan divulgar ideas de pequeñas investigaciones que hayan
hecho, mejorar sus capacidades de presentación y hacer contactos con otros/as
estudiantes, investigadores/as que compartan sus intereses académicos. De este
modo, la facultad pretende impulsar el desarrollo académico y profesional de
los/as estudiantes, así como también promover sus intereses en los estudios de
la lingüística aplicada, de las lenguas modernas, de la traducción y del
discurso.

The 1st Conference for Students of Modern and Applied Languages (CELMA, for
its Spanish title) will take place on 26 April 2019 at Pompeu Fabra University
in Barcelona, Spain.
The conference aims to be a supportive environment in which undergraduate
students of all areas of language study (theoretical & applied linguistics,
translation, etc) can present some research ideas they may have, improve their
presentation skills and network with other students and researchers who share
their academic interests. The department thus aims to give an impulse to the
students' academic and professional development and foster their interest in
the study of theoretical and applied linguistics, modern languages,
translation and discourse studies.
Convocatoria de Propuestas:
Las presentaciones -en castellano, catalán o inglés- serán de 15−20 minutos
con 5 minutos para preguntas. Para participar, hay que subir un resumen en PDF
con un máximo de 400 palabras (título, referencias y ejemplos excluidos) en la
siguiente página web: http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/celma2019. La fecha
límite para enviar los resúmenes es el jueves 31 de marzo de 2019

The presentations can be in Spanish, Catalan or English and should be 15−20
minutes plus 5 minutes for questions. Please upload an abstract of 400 words
(excluding title, list of references and examples) by Thursday, 31 March 2019
