Meeting Description:
Cornell University's undergraduate linguistics association, The UnderLings,
presents its twelfth annual undergraduate research colloquium. By facilitating
communication and discussion between researchers, the conference aims to
promote undergraduate research at all levels throughout the linguistics
community. The Colloquium will take place from Friday April 27 to Sunday April
29, 2018. (Friday will not include presentations, but we will have a welcome
greeting, registration, and an evening social event.)

Call for Papers:
Student submissions at all levels are encouraged in a variety of subfields of
linguistics, including but not limited to phonetics, phonology, syntax,
historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and language
acquisition. Applicants pursuing a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree are
invited to submit a one-page abstract for a talk of no more than twenty
minutes in length or for a poster presentation at our poster session. Please
indicate in your submissions whether you would like to be considered for a
poster, a talk, or both.
Abstracts must be at most two pages long, including data and references, on
letter-size or A4 paper with 1 inch margins on all sides and at least 11 point
font. Abstracts should have a clear title and should be anonymous. Abstracts
must be submitted electronically to CULinguisticsColloquium at gmail.com in PDF
format by February 28.
