Call for Guest Editors and Thematic Proposals:

Title of the Journal: Lingvisticae Investigationes. International Journal of
Linguistics and Language Resources

Call Deadline: February 28, 2018
https://www.lingvisticae-investigationes.org/special-issues
Lingvisticae Investigationes (LI) invites researchers in linguistics and
language resources to propose a thematic issue to be published in 2019.

LI is an international journal founded in 1977 by Maurice Gross. It is
published and distributed by John Benjamins Publishing Company. It is listed
in the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) for Linguistics,
published by the European Science Foundation (ESF). There are two issues every
year: one varia and one thematic issue. This is a call for the 2019 thematic
issue of the Lingvisticae Investigationes.

How to submit a thematic issue?

Candidates wishing to publish a thematic issue should submit a proposal
including:
- a description of the theme of the planned issue: this text will serve as the
call for papers, if the proposal is accepted by the editors of LI
- a list of members of the scientific committee
- a schedule for the preparation of the issue, with deadlines for the
following events:

- public call for papers T0 + 2 months (T0 = date of the proposal of the
thematic issue)
- submission of papers T0 + 8 months
- notification to authors T0 + 9 months
- final version of papers T0 + 10 months
- publication T0 + 12 months

What are the conditions to publish a thematic issue?

A public call for papers has to be issued and widely disseminated in English,
on a web site and on international diffusion lists. The thematic issue has its
own scientific committee, whose members are in charge of reviewing the
submitted papers through a double blind peer review process. The selection of
the papers for publication is made on full versions of the papers: the final
versions should not be significantly longer than or different from the
original papers. The names of the reviewers are listed in the call for papers.
The reviews transferred to authors are anonymous.

Proposals for a thematic issue must be sent to the secretary of LI
(takuya.nakamura at univ-mlv.fr). The criteria for validating proposals are:
- the scientific relevance and opportunity of the theme
- the relevance of the theme with regard to the scope of LI -
https://www.lingvisticae-investigationes.org/
- the scientific competence and size of the scientific committee
Once a proposal for a thematic issue is accepted, the authors of the proposal
become guest editors of the issue. They are responsible for the dissemination
of the call for papers, the observance of the rules for the selection of
submitted papers, the fulfillment or modification of the time schedule, the
relations with the reviewers and the authors, and the delivery of the final
version of the papers to LI. The number of accepted papers should take into
account the size of a issue of LI, which is 175 journal pages. This size
corresponds to approximately 133 usual A4 pages, due to the difference in page
size.

Last thematic issues:
Xavier Blanco, Pedro Mogorrón (2015), Spanish Phraseology: Varieties and
Variations (38:2).
Marie Lammert, Peter Lauwers (2016), Lexical Plurals (39:2).
Georgia Fotiadou, Hélène Vassiliadou (2017) Transitivity and Valency: from
theory to acquisition, (40:1).
