Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Cornell University invites applications for a
one-year postdoctoral fellowship in computational and historical linguistics
for Fall 2018 - Spring 2019. Candidates with strength in any areas of
computational AND historical linguistics are invited to submit full
applications. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to
Cornell’s existing strengths in computational and historical linguistics, and
will be asked to teach two courses: Historical Linguistics at the advanced
undergraduate/ beginning graduate level and Computational Linguistics at the
undergraduate level.
Applications should include CV, letter of application, research statement, two
publications or dissertation chapters, and names of three individuals who can
provide letters of recommendation. Candidates with qualifications in
historical or computational linguistics but not in both are asked to submit a
CV and short letter of application only. Ph.D. must be completed by August
2018. Salary will be competitive. Applications are due by March 1, 2018.
