Description:

The People Management department at the University of Deusto seeks candidates
to fill the position of Teaching and Research Staff-Faculty of Social and
Human Sciences – Lecturer and Researcher in English Linguistics.

Field of Study:

Lecturer and Researcher with experience in the field of English Linguistics
(preferably,  a specialist in phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax and
varieties of English language from a geographical and diachronic perspective).

It involves performing teaching and research functions in the specific field
of study, and may undertake academic management tasks in the future.

Number of positions:  1
Campus: Bilbao

Requirements:
- Degree:  PhD in Linguistics or similar disciplines
- Proficiency in English required: C2
 
Other Merits:
- Experience as a university lecturer and researcher in the above fields.
- Having participated in tutorial programmes or degree coordination would be
an asset.
- Having a PhD degree, with a positive accreditation by the Official Quality
Agency (ANECA / UNIBASQ) to work as a Lecturer (PhD) or Lecturer at a Private
University would be an asset.
- Good interpersonal skills in Basque and Spanish
- We seek a qualified professional, with a teaching vocation, empathy,
capacity for teamwork, motivation for innovation, capacity to adapt and to
identify with UD’s identity and mission.

We offer:
Joining the University in the 2018/2019 academic year (start date: 1 September
2018). The job will be on a full-time basis, if a positive assessment to work
as a lecturer at a private university by Aneca or Unibasq has been granted. 
Otherwise, the highest mode of employment allowed by UD's internal regulations
will be offered.
