Meeting Description:
The Scandinavian Workshop on Applied Eye Tracking (SWAET) is an
interdisciplinary meeting place for graduate students, researchers, industry,
and others who use eye tracking to study different phenomena - including
visual perception, reading, translation, learning, marketing, usability,
driving, and many others - or to help people with disabilities.
The programme will include two keynote lectures, several sessions with three
to four talks of 20 minutes each, and one or two poster sessions. Several eye
tracking companies will present their latest products. The keynote speakers
will be Professor Reinhold Kliegl from the University of Potsdam, Germany, who
will be talking about his research on eye movements and reading, and Dr.
Monica Castelhano from Queen's University, Ontario, Canada, who will be
talking about her research on eye movements and natural scene perception.
The workshop is of interest to linguists working in psycholinguistics, reading
or translation research, or those with an interest in eye-tracking
methodology.
