Subject: Announcement: BIG NLP directory

 
We are creating a BIG NLP directory, which stands for “broad interest group
for equity in natural language processing” (URL TBA, will be linked on
http://www.winlp.org/). This will be a public directory of people from
underrepresented groups in NLP as well as supporters, who are interested in
actively increasing diversity in the NLP community. 

The purposes of the directory are:

- as someone from an underrepresented group in NLP, find other like-minded
people

- for anyone, a resource for finding researchers who are helping to increase
diversity in NLP

- for anyone, a resource for finding non-cis white male researchers to invite
to panels and committees, for hiring purposes, etc.
