Meeting Description: 

The conference is aimed at applied linguists, TEFL professionals and everyone
involved in creating ELT materials, both for your own classes as well as for
publication. The conference will give you the opportunity to network and share
ideas on creating the most effective materials for learners of English.

Our main themes include getting started with materials writing, new directions
ELT materials may take in the future, and innovative ways to tackle challenges
that can occur in the materials creation process. Our keynote speakers are
Fiona Mauchline (freelance writer) and Michael Kedward (OUP). The conference
will have talks and workshops that appeal to both experienced and
less-experienced writers. You can find the programme on the MaWSIG website
