Meeting Description:
Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, Brunca Extension, Campus Pérez Zeledón,
with a deep interest in accomplishing its institutional mission, invites those
teachers, professors, researchers and students of areas related to applied
linguistics in English and Spanish who are eager to share, enrich and expand
their knowledge to participate in this conference. Various topics, such as
linguistics, literature, translation, interpretation, applied linguistics,
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and the Information and Communication
Technologies (ICTs), will be discussed and analyzed on March 27, 28, and 29,
of 2019.

September 24 to September 28, 2018
Up to three submissions will be accepted per participant either as an author
or coauthor and only three presenters/authors per paper will be allowed.
Types of participation:
Paper:
The abstract, in both English and Spanish, should be between 250 to 300 words
according to APA guidelines in letter size format, Times New Roman, font size
number 12, top and bottom margins of 2.5 cm. or 1 in. and margins right and
left 2.5 cm. or 1 in., double spaced.
The abstract should contain the following elements: title, abstract, keywords,
references and indication of thematic relevance. Following the title, the name
of the author(s) must be entered with a footnote mentioning their professional
title(s) and their institutional/company affiliation.
Workshop:
You can also participate as a workshop presenter. However, your contribution
will not be published in the congress proceedings. Workshop proposals must
follow the same format described for paper abstracts.
