The Latin American Association of Writing Studies in Higher Education and
Professional Contexts, ALES, announces submissions' directions, deadlines and
registration fees for its II international conference to be held in October,
9, 10 and 11, 2018 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in
Santiago, Chile. We invite writing researchers to submit original research
papers in any of the following formats and topics, in English, Spanish or
Portuguese.II International Conference of The Latin American Association of
Writing Studies in Higher Education and Professional Contexts


2nd Call for Papers:

We are pleased to announce the 3rd CFP for the II International Conference of
The Latin American Association of Writing Studies in Higher Education and
Professional Contexts (ALES): New directions in writing research. The II ALES
2018 will be held on October 9-11 at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile,
in Santiago, Chile. 

Abstract submission has been extended until March 20. In addition, nine
pre-congress workshops will be offered by Charles Bazerman, Bob Broad, Theresa
Lillis, Alejandra Meneses, Dérisée Motta-Roth, VIoleta Molina, Federico
Navarro, Mónica Tapia and Margarita Vidal. Lastly, an international
peer-reviewed volume in three languages with selected presentations will be
published by the WAC Clearinghouse.

We kindly encourage you to take part in this forum of scholarly interchange
among different regions and traditions of writing research in beautiful
Santiago, Chile. Please forward this opportunity to your graduate students and
any colleagues and Departments that may be interested in our conference.
