Meeting Description:
It is a pleasure to invite you to our third American Association of Teachers
of Turkic Conference focusing on language, literature, and pedagogy of the
Turkic languages. The 3rd AATT Conference will take place on November 14,
2018 at the University of Texas at Austin. The objective of AATT is to
advance and improve the teaching of Turkic languages; to promote study,
criticism, and research in the field of Turkic languages and literatures; and
to further the common interests of teachers of these subjects.
Call for Papers:
Topics of Interest:
- How to start and maintain a successful language program
- Implementation of National Standards and Guidelines
- New approaches to the teaching of Turkic languages and literatures
- Perceptions of and perspectives on teaching Turkic languages and literatures
- Use of technology in teaching Turkic languages
- Curriculum development and textbook writing for Turkic languages
- Materials development and language assessment
- Role of literature in teaching a Turkic language
Guide for authors The deadline to submit abstracts is May 15, 2018. Authors
are invited to submit an abstract between 250-300 words for a 25-minute
individual presentation. The authors will be notified by June 30. To submit
an abstract, go to https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/AATT2018 .
We look forward to seeing you at the 3rd AATT Conference in November. The
University of Texas at Austin will also host the AATT Graduate Pre-conference
on November 15, 2018. This conference will precede MESA Annual Meeting, which
will take place in San Antonio, TX.
