Meeting Description:
The Slavic Linguistics Society (SLS) is a professional organization devoted to
the systematic and scholarly study of the Slavic languages. The organization
brings together academics from Europe, North America, and elsewhere through an
annual conference that alternates between North American and European
institutions, a mailing list, and other activities. It seeks to promote
dialogue across different sub-disciplines of linguistics and theoretical
frameworks.
The annual meeting features discussions on a variety of topics in Slavic
linguistics.

Final Call for Papers:
The Slavic Linguistics Society invites individual abstract submissions and
panel proposals on any Slavic linguistics topic and in any linguistic
framework. Current SLS membership is a precondition for presenting at the
annual meeting. Participants will be able to join SLS or renew their
membership when registering for the conference online starting in June 2018.

Abstract Submission Instructions
Deadline: March 31, 2018
Abstracts should be written in either English or Russian, and should be
limited to 3,000 characters. (Accepted papers may be presented in other Slavic
languages at the conference if a written summary of the paper is provided to
the audience in either English or Russian.) Abstracts should be sent by e-
mail to vakarel at uoregon.edu. The abstract itself must not contain the name(s)
or affiliation(s) of the author(s) or any other information that identifies
the author(s). The text of the cover e-mail should include the paper title,
author name(s), affiliation(s), status (faculty, graduate student, etc.) and
contact information. Submissions are limited to one single-authored and one
jointly-authored abstract per applicant. A small number of competitive travel
scholarships will be awarded for graduate students whose abstracts are
accepted. Students who are interested in being considered for a travel
scholarship should indicate so in the cover e-mail.
Thematic panel proposals should include the panel title and names of the
proposed participants.
These should be sent to vakarel at uoregon.edu by March 31, 2018.
Notification of acceptance for papers and panels: by June 1, 2018.
