A reminder that registration for the OpenCLIR19 challenge closes next week on
November 30! Please see the original announcement below and let us know at
openclir_poc at nist.gov if you have any questions before registering.

IARPA and NIST are pleased to announce a new machine translation challenge:
OpenCLIR 2019. 

The goal of the OpenCLIR (Open Cross Language Information Retrieval)
evaluation is to develop methods to locate text and speech content in a
variety of genres from low-resource languages, using English queries. 

The OpenCLIR challenge was developed out of IARPA's MATERIAL program, but
incorporates a simpler, smaller scale evaluation. 

For more information on the OpenCLIR timeline and participation details, as
well as a link to registration, please refer to the OpenCLIR webpage:

All NLP practitioners are eligible to participate. Feel free to spread the
word to interested participants!

OpenCLIR evaluation.
