Description:

The job will consist of extending and improving our Machine-Learning-based
German NLU projects. The candidate will be developing grammars and lexical
resources, correcting annotated data, and tuning the system or tools in other
ways.

Responsibilities:
- Building up German NLU language-specific resources to be used for Speech
Recognition software
- Developing grammars for Natural Language Understanding
- Enrich the coverage of data or dictionaries
- Working on Machine Learning models for NLU, including training, evaluation
and error analysis
- Text manipulation and data processing
- Localization of data, online surveys, etc. into German
- Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and
processes that you are responsible for securing

Qualifications: 
- 3-5 years of work experience
- Master in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Computational
Linguistics
- (Near-)native speaker of German/Fluent German - essential
- NLU experience - essential
- Solid Unix skills (bash)
- Sound knowledge of regular expressions and a scripting language (e.g.
Python)
- Familiarity with version-control software (git, svn)
- Background knowledge or some experience in NLU or supervised
- Machine Learning
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
