Description:

The PhD position (4 years, full time) is founded by the Swiss National Science
Foundation within the research project “A World of Possibilities. Modal
Pathways on the Extra-Long Period of Time: The Diachrony of Modality in the
Latin Language” (project n° PP00P1_176778) coordinated by Francesca Dell'Oro
(francesca.delloro at unil.ch). 

The PhD candidate will write her/his thesis in Latin linguistics and Digital
Humanities on a topic related to the SNF project and will collaborate in any
phase of the project (e.g. the annotation of Latin texts). 
The PhD candidate should ideally start her/his work on the 1st of February
2019, but alternative arrangements may be possible. A good knowledge of French
is mandatory.
