Meeting Description:
The Institute of Odia Studies & Research (IOSR) framed an initiative to
promote and uplift the status of the language and taking fruitful steps, apart
from giving it a legit recognition. It was, therefore, given a thought to
induce the Odia language in such a globalized and modernized society.
During the tenure 2014 to 2017, IOSR organized four National Language
Conferences which were attended by many scholars and attracted to enthusiasts
from across the country, showing eminence in the fields of Linguistics,
Languages & Literature. Such an event marked the importance to exchange ideas
between intellectuals from various language-regions of India as well between
people representing various knowledge-disciplines.
Accordingly, the Fifth National Language Conference 5NLC-2019 is now scheduled
during 19 – 21 January, 2019. This is jointly organized by the Ravenshaw
University, Cuttack and IOSR, Bhubaneswar.

Call for Papers:
Prospective authors are invited to submit Abstract of original unpublished
research work on the mentioned areas (see tracks page) either in English or
Odia (use Unicode fonts). Preference will be given to the submissions having
clear focus on the specific issues pertaining to languages of interest.
Abstract must be anonymous and within 250-300 words followed by 4-5 Keywords
and Bibliography. Maintain a font size of 11 (Times New Roman) for English and
for Odia (12, either kalinga or Lohit Oriya). Odia should be typed in Unicode
format and no other format (like Akruti, Page maker etc) will be considered.
The Abstracts received will undergo a double blind review and the authors of
accepted abstracts will be notified for full Paper submissions. Authors will
be allowed to present the paper in the conference only if the full paper is
received within the deadline (see important dates page).
