Meeting Description:

Proposals for papers and panels are now being accepted for the 40th annual
SWPACA conference.  One of the nation’s largest interdisciplinary academic
conferences, SWPACA offers nearly 70 subject areas, each typically featuring
multiple panels.  For a full list of subject areas, area descriptions, and

Call for Papers:

Now accepting papers for a 15-minute presentation on any aspect of
linguistics.  Papers with an applied focus are especially encouraged (language
pedagogy, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, language in the media, linguistic
landscapes, etc.). Proposals for sections on a specific topic will also be
considered.
All proposals must be submitted through the conference’s database at
