Description:
As a Project Manager, you will contribute to various tasks to develop and
improve natural language processing.
This includes:
- Depending on the project, may require providing training, management, and
oversight of a team performing various Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks
assigned to the team
- Developing, maintaining and improving NLP quality
- Training, managing, and overseeing the work of a team of associate linguists
- Training and/or evaluating NLP or dialogue systems, identify
errors/regressions and propose solutions
- Providing linguistic consultation on language specific NLP and/or dialogue
analysis/modelling
- Ensuring quality of user-facing linguistic output as part of user-device
dialogues
- Identifying and assigning required tasks for a project
- Tracking and reporting the team's progress
- Monitoring and controlling quality of the data annotated by the team
- Providing linguistic/operational guidance and support to the team
- Delivering final output according with priorities and ETAs
Job requirements:
- Native-level speaker of European Portuguese and fluent in English
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics or
related disciplines
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts; learn inhouse tools
- Keen interest in technology
- Keen interest in natural language processing, linguistics, and linguistic
resources
- Attention to detail, and good organizational and communication skills
- Experience with project management
- Ability to effectively operate independently with flexibility in a
fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Some programming language or previous experience working in a Linux
environment are a plus
Project duration: Up to 1 year
This is not a permanent position but a full-time contract position.
