Description:

Assistant Professor of Spanish. Specialist in Spanish usage-based linguistics,
applied linguistics or second language acquisition, tenure-track, beginning
Fall, 2019. 

PhD in hand by August 2019. Teach 5 courses per year at graduate and
undergraduate levels, including Spanish linguistics courses and courses in
support of M.A. options in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching English as
a Foreign Language. 

Expertise or experience in one of the following areas desired: 
- Heritage speakers, 
- Translation, 
- Interpretation, or 
- Spanish for business/professional purposes. 

Commitment to active research profile and service activities. Native or
near-native proficiency in Spanish and English. Successful candidate will
value multicultural perspectives in both teaching and research. Applicants
must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of
employment. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
