Focus: Every speech - conceived, according to Buehler, as a concrete speech event - recalls due attention to its speakers, who actualize language, to their utterances,with their syntactic articulations, recorded, annotated and computed in corpora, to the selection of symbols and to the discourse composition, to the textual design.
Talks and readings will concern Bréal, Benveniste and Tesnière, the Russian theoretical tradition about linguistics and literature, and the Greek and Middle-East lexical thesaurus.
Minimum Education Level: MA
Description:
It's a residential school, where lectures will be followed by seminars on
selected texts and common discussion. PhD students will be invited to refer
about their researches.
