Focus: LOT's Summer school covers all major areas of linguistics and teaches a wide range of methodological tools and theoretical frameworks.

Description:
The LOT Summer School 2019 is hosted by Utrecht University (UU). The programme
contains 18 courses on a wide variety of relevant topics in linguistics,
taught by researchers from all over the world. The LOT school is now open for
PhD students in Linguistics.

Courses will be taught by Artemis Alexiadou (Heritage Languages), Mirjam
Broersma (L2/bilingualism), Onno Crasborn (Sign language), Tejaswini Deoskar
(Natural language processing), Jenny Doetjes (Semantics), Marion Elenbaas
(Historical Syntax), Janet Grijzenhout (Phonology), Willemijn Heeren (Forensic
phonetics), Wolfram Hinzen (Neurolinguistics), Angeliek van Hout & Fabienne
Martin (First language acquisition), Hanneke Loerts (Statistics), Ora
Matushansky (Syntax), Asya Pereltsvaig (typology/dialectology), Alex Perović
(Clinical linguistics), Colin Phillips (Psycholinguistics), Wilbert Spooren
(Language use/discourse), Linnaea Stockall (Morphological processing),
Meredith Tamminga (Sociolinguistics). 

In addition to these advanced courses in Linguistics, there will be discussion
groups to discuss your own PhD research, poster sessions, a public lecture by
Asya Pereltsvaig, a celebration for LOT’s 25th anniversary, and a range of
social events.
