Abstract:

Das Thema des vorliegenden Bandes ist der Cercle linguistique de Bratislava,
ein in der zweiten Hälfte der 40er Jahre des 20. Jh. tätiges slowakisches
Analogon des strukturalistischen Cercle linguistique de Prague. Behandelt
werden insbesondere die Vortrags- und Publikationstätigkeit des Cercle, seine
Reflexion durch die zeitgenössische wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft sowie sein
Schicksal nach der kommunistischen Machtübernahme in der Tschechoslowakei. Den
Kern bilden dabei Analyse und Kontextualisierung der Texte der slowakischen
Strukturalisten aus dieser Zeit.
