Description:
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is seeking to appoint a Professor (f/m) of
Foreign Language Teaching Methodology pursuant to §98 of the University Act
(UG) (40 hours per week; permanent employment according to the Austrian Law on
Salaried Employment (AngG); expected starting date October 1st 2020)
The appointed professor will be expected to represent the field of foreign
language teaching methodology in research and teaching within the secondary
school teacher accreditation programmes as well as in the foreign language
teaching doctoral programme.
The focus of the appointed professor’s work should be in the general area of
foreign language didactics, language learning and teaching processes. They
should have experience of empirical research in this field and find links with
research core areas within the faculty (e. g., bilingualism, multilingualism,
diversity, digitalisation, interculturality). Very good knowledge of German
and English is required. In addition, we expect gender mainstreaming
competence.
