Meeting Description:
The aim of the conference is to present the impact of the digital age on
translation studies, and to introduce new tools and opportunities that are
reshaping the phenomena of translation and interpretion, language teaching and
lexicography in the 21st century,. The conference provides an opportunity for
networking , for exchange of experiences and ideas, for discussing new ideas
about research directions.
Call for Papers:
The Department of Applied Linguistics of Sapientia the Hungarian University of
Transylvania, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences Târgu Mureş organizes
the fifth edition of the Trans-linguistica International Conference. This
year, we have opted for the title ''Languages and Intercultural mediation
after the digital revolution - the challenges of the 21st century''.
Date of the conference: 30-31 May 2019
Place of the conference: the Hungarian University of Transylvania, Faculty of
Technical and Human Sciences Târgu Mureş, Block C
The meeting will be held in sections.
A selection of the presentations will be published in the conference
proceedings .
We welcome presentations in the following areas:
1) modern info-communication technologies and their role in language teaching
and mother tongue education;
2) new tools and opportunities for translation and interpretation;
3) revolutionizing terminology and language research with digital devices;
4) new lexicology, new lexicography;
5) bilingualism and multilingualism in the new media age.
The abstract submission deadline is March 15, 2019.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by March 31, 2019.
Participation fee: 230 RON / 50 EUR.
The participation fee will be paid with bank transfer into the following bank
account. There will be no possibility of paying on-site.
