The ''Practical Dimensions of English for Specific and Academic Purposes''
workshop aims to bring together ESAP teachers and researchers for
thought-provoking sessions and discussions on current and emerging trends in
ESP and EAP. Time to share and connect with others.

Call for Papers and Presentations:
Aviation Faculty, National Military University, Bulgaria cordially invites you
to participate and submit a paper to ''Practical Dimensions of English for
Specific and Academic Purposes'' Workshop
Dates: 11-12 April 2019
Venue: Military club, town of Pleven, Bulgaria
The workshop is dedicated to:
- Sharing practical ESAP experiences;
- Sharing your ESAP research work;
- Demonstrating ESAP classroom techniques;
- Simulating actual ESAP lessons;
- Discussing successful ESAP assessment practices;
- Presenting how you design ESAP curriculum or syllabus;
- Addressing challenges in developing ESP materials;
- Contributing to efficient classroom management;
- Developing YOU as an ESAP practitioner.
Formats:
- Interactive session: 30 min.
- Presentation: 20 min. + 10 min. for questions;
- Pecha Kucha - each speaker is allotted only 6min.40sec. to discuss their
slideshow of 20 images, each shown for exactly 20 seconds. Experiment with the
art of concise presentations - share some professional experience and your
sense of humour.
- Panel discussion: Volunteer to become one of the panelists who will raise
questions, involve the audience and discuss the topic ''The role of ESP
teachers in the contemporary education.''
Publications: Publish your work in the Aviation Faculty conference proceedings
with ISSN. Submit your full paper to sc2019 at aff.nvu.bg till 03 March
2019. It will undergo agile and objective scholarly peer-review. You will
receive a CD with the conference proceedings in the conference pack at the day
of the event.
Abstracts. In case you want to deliver a workshop/presentation without
publishing it in the conference proceedings, submit an abstract, about 150
words, and a short bio: by 03 March 2019 to sc2019 at aff.nvu.bg
Acknowledgement: After submission you will be acknowledged of the receipt of
the abstract/full paper via an email within three working days.
Notification of acceptance: up to 2 weeks after receiving the abstract / or
full paper.
