Description:
The Dean’s Doctoral Assistantship (DDA) is available for newly admitted PhD
students in Linguistics at UT Arlington. The DDA provides a $15,300 yearly
stipend, 85% tuition and fees coverage for up to 9 hours per semester, and an
out-of-state tuition waiver. A limited number of DDA awards will also be
supplemented by the College of Liberal Arts to provide for 100% tuition and
fees coverage. The DDA is renewable for up to 5 years based on satisfactory
progress toward completing the PhD degree requirements and fulfilling
departmental teaching requirements.
All accepted candidates must be unconditionally admitted to the UTA
Linguistics PhD program.
