“Assertion and its Norms” - Paris, France, June 3-5 2019

Ecole Normale Supérieure, DEC (program “New ideas in the philosophy of mind
and language”)

The workshop aims to provide a forum for lively and constructive exchange
amongst researchers working on the following (and related) themes:

- Constitutive rules
- Norms for assertion
- Normative vs. non-normative accounts of assertion

Tentative Schedule:

June 3rd half day 
– 12.30pm welcome lunch
– 2pm  workshop starts

June 4th full day 
– 8pm  conference dinner

June 5th half day 
– 1pm  workshop ends


Call for Papers:

Abstracts must be 700-1200 words long (including notes, excluding
bibliography). Please send your abstract or any enquiries by email to
