Meeting Description:
We are interested in exploring the impact of the linguistic varieties and
cultural diversity that both Chinese and Spanish involve, standardization
processes, content and materials, as well as the role of the teacher in the
teaching and learning contexts of both languages.
The Congress calls for the submission of proposals for workshops and papers
in the areas of teaching-learning methodology of Spanish for Chinese speakers
and for Spanish speakers, ethnolinguistics, sociolinguistics, translation,
grammar and pragmatic, with special emphasis on linguistic and cultural
diversity.
Everyone is welcome: researchers, academics, representatives of international
institutions and organizations, language teachers, teachers of all levels,
editors, undergraduate and graduate students.
Call for Papers:
Date: August 7, 2019
The workshops will be eminently practical and focus on the presentation and
analysis of languages and their cultures of belonging, teaching, materials
and translation of Spanish and Chinese in the context of their varieties. Each
workshop will last 1 hour and a half.
Themes:
- Activities that integrate language and culture. Ethno and socio cultural
contents in a Spanish and Chinese class.
- Use of dictionaries and other materials. Difficulties that arise in the
adaptation to other dialectal varieties.
- Adaptation and didactization of authentic materials.
- Treatment of neologisms in translations from Spanish to Chinese and from
Chinese to Spanish.
- Principles and criteria for the selection of materials according to the
-needs of the students.
- Critical points in teaching Chinese to Spanish speakers in their Peruvian
variety.
- Competency evaluation tools.
- Activities that promote the cultural approach to the linguistic varieties
present in the classroom.
- Pedagogical practices that are put into play when teaching a linguistic
variety.
Date: August 8 and 9, 2019
The papers will be eminently theoretical and must present the results of
research, make innovative proposals and / or reflect on different aspects:
Themes:
- Incidence in classroom work of dialectal varieties. Training of teacher when
addressing these differences. Translation and teaching, crossings and
divergences.
- Methodological experiences: paths traveled and to be traveled.
- Intercultural communication
- Sociocultural components in the class.
- The standardization and the varieties in the didactic materials. Cultural
diversity and curriculum.
- Research and innovation in education.
