Description:
The Information Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California
seeks a programmer for a research on building computational models of grounded
language acquisition. We seek to build a software system, which, when exposed
to language paired with situations, will acquire the ability to describe new
situations. Our approach will be heavily informed by what is known about child
language acquisition.
Required Skills:
- Strong familiarity with the Python programming language
Desirable Skills:
- Background in linguistics
The position is open to candidates who would work on-site in Waltham, MA;
remotely near Philadelphia, PA; or remotely near Louisville, KY. Exceptionally
qualified remote candidates from other places would also be considered.
