Description:
As Speech Scientist on customization of TTS output according to customer
requirements in the automotive area. They will design regular expressions for
text transformations, create phonetic transcriptions, and configure TTS
products.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze issues reported by customers and provide fixes
- Design regular expressions for text transformations
- Create phonetic transcriptions
- Integrate custom speech data into project deliveries
- QA and validate results for integrated data
- Interact with developers to improve TTS output
- Give feedback and provide ideas for tools development
- Create/improve tools used for customization
Qualifications:
- Minimum years of work experience: No working experience needed, but adequate
education at university is a must. Strong candidates with BSc degree and
minimum 2 years work experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Background in computational linguistics, phonetics or similar
- Excellent analytical skills
- Scripting Skills (Python)
- Experience with regular expressions
- Logistics and organizational managing skills
- English language skills (written and spoken)
Preferred skills:
- Experience with Text To Speech
- Experience with XML and/or other Markup Languages
- Skills in additional natural languages
- Experience with versioning systems and bug tracking systems
Education: MSc in phonetics, speech technology, computational linguistics or
similar
