4–5 April 2020

WIGL 17

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Linguistics Students Organization invites
submissions for papers to be presented at the 17th annual Workshop in General
Linguistics (WIGL 17), to be held Saturday–Sunday, 4–5 April 2020 at the
University of Wisconsin–Madison.

The invited speaker for the workshop is Dr. Jacee Cho, Assistant Professor of
English at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her remarks are titled “What
is unique about second language acquisition?”

Accordingly, this year’s workshop particularly encourages submissions on
second language acquisition, with a special emphasis on syntax and semantics.
However, submissions are welcome in any field of descriptive, applied, or
theoretical linguistics.

Abstracts should be at most one page, with 1-inch margins and 12-point Times
New Roman font. A second page may be included for references and/or data.
Abstracts should not include the author's name or affiliation. Abstracts
should be submitted online via EasyAbs: http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/WIGL17

The deadline for submission is 31 January 2020. You will be notified of the
