ELBA is a school aimed to foster the training of developing researchers in the
field of linguistics by offering courses delivered both by international and
local instructors. Our goal is threefold. We hope to encourage new
researchers, to tight the bond between local and international linguists, and
also to give students the opportunity to take part in ongoing debates in the
field by allowing them the chance to discuss with the specialists themselves.
ELBA is meant to cover work on contemporary linguistic studies in the areas of
theoretical linguistics, linguistic typology, and data collection/experimental
methods.
ELBA will also host a one-day Workshop on Sat, Feb 8, for attendees to present
their own works. Abstract submission is open. Check our website for more
