Meeting Description: 

You are cordially invited to the international symposium Spoken Language
Across Time celebrating the launch of the London–Lund Corpus 2 (LLC–2) of
spoken British English, half a century after the launch of the first
London–Lund Corpus. To this end, we are pleased to present an excellent
line-up of prominent researchers with an interest in the nature of spontaneous
speech in real communicative situations. Confirmed speakers are:

Professor Herbert Clark, Stanford University (Keynote speaker)
Professor Bas Aarts, University College London
Professor Karin Aijmer, Gothenburg University
Professor Jonathan Culpeper, Lancaster University
Dr Robbie Love, University of Leeds
Dr Susan Reichelt, University of Greifswald
Professor Gunnel Tottie, University of Zurich

The symposium takes place on Friday, 20 September 2019 at the Centre for
Languages and Literature, Lund University, Sweden. All are welcome to attend
and participation is free of charge, but registration in advance is required.
Registration is open until 13 September.
