The Department of Linguistics at the University of Geneva invites applications
for an associate or full professorship in phonology.
Description:
The position advertised is a part-time appointment (60%). The post includes
teaching courses in phonology at all levels of the curriculum (4 hours per
week) and supervising PhD and MA theses. The successful candidate will be
expected to pursue research in the field of phonology and to attract external
funding. They will also contribute to the administrative duties of the
Linguistics Department and the Faculty of Humanities.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a PhD in linguistics. They must have experience in
teaching and in supervising research, and they are expected to have published
in international journals. Applicants should have good knowledge of French or
the willingness to reach a level of proficiency allowing them to teach in
French within a year after appointment.
Starting date: 1 February 2021 or to be negotiated.
