Call for proposals:
2021 Special Issue
The Journal for the Psychology of Language Learning (PLL) is inviting
proposals from prospective guest editors for its 2021 special issue.
We seek proposals that address a theme or topical area that will be of
interest and relevance to the journal's international readership in individual
differences and the psychology of language learning. We are especially
interested in special issue themes that highlight work in areas of inquiry,
theoretical approaches, and methodological tools in individual differences and
the psychology of language learning which are under-represented.
Special issues proposals are subject to approval from the journal editors and
the editorial board. Guest editors will be responsible for inviting and
selecting submissions, organizing the review process, and preparing the issue
for publication, etc.
Proposal Format:
Proposals for a special issue should use the following format and timeframe:
- Outline the need and rationale for the special issue (750 words max)
- List of proposed authors and article abstracts (300-400 words);
- Name(s) and bio statement of the guest editors (maximum 300 words per
editor).
Submission:
E-mail proposals in a single .pdf file to jpll.editors at gmail.com by 1st
September 2020.
Important dates:
- 1 September 2020: Proposal due
- 30 September 2020: Winning proposal announced
- 30 June 2021: Submission of final-draft manuscripts to Journal for the
Psychology of Language Learning in the OJS platform
