Description:
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, Faculty of Modern
Languages at Goethe University Frankfurt invites applications for 1 position
as Researcher (all genders welcome) (full-time position, pay scale E13 TV-G-U)
to be filled on the 1st of November 2020. The position will be non-permanent
for three years with the possibility of extension. The salary grade is based
on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to
Goethe University.
Tasks:
The successful candidate is expected to actively participate in linguistic
research and teaching activities of the Department of Romance Languages and
Literatures. Teaching load is 6 teaching hours per week (three courses per
semester) in the field of Portuguese and/or Spanish Linguistics. Participation
in examinations, in organizational tasks and in research activities is
expected. The position will be conducive to the realization of a postdoc
project or further scientific qualification.
Requirements:
- Applicants should hold a PhD in linguistics or Romance Studies.
- An excellent command of German, Portuguese and/or Spanish is required.
- Teaching experience in the field of Romance linguistics and previous
experience with academic self-government are an advantage.
