Meeting Description: 

ROLLING Institute on Argument Structure 2021 (online) 
Registration is free. 
 
The ROLLING Institute on Argument Structure consists of 9 courses that will
take place virtually over the course of 7 months from January to July, 2021.
The Institute is organized by the members of the Research Project ''Argument
Structure and Neurolinguistic Processing at the Lexicon-Syntax Interface:
Unergative Verbs with Cognate Object or Obligatory Prepositional Object'' of
the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (FFI2016-80142-P).  

Access to the Lectures will be free, but registration is required using the
form: https://forms.gle/xTv4SbiH1K2HSCiv6. 
 
The Institute is aimed at PhD students. In order to keep the courses
manageable and ensure high quality, we may need to apply space limitations.
 

Program Information:
 
1. Verbal argument structure by Artemis Alexiadou (Humboldt Universität zu
Berlin - Leibniz ZAS).  
When: January 18–21 from 3 PM to 5 PM Central European Time (UCT+01:00). 

2. Argument structure across frameworks by Antonio Fábregas (University of
Tromsø –The Arctic University of Norway). 
 When: February 8–12. Time to be confirmed.  

3. Argument structure and lexical semantics by John Beavers (The University of
Texas at Austin). 
When: March 22–26 from 4 PM to 6 PM Central European Time (UCT+01:00). 

4. The argument structure of psych verbs by Carles Royo (Universitat Rovira i
Virgili). Course conducted in Spanish.  
When: April 19–23 from 3 PM to 5 PM Central European Time (UCT+01:00). 

5. Argument structure and information structure by Ángel L. Jiménez-Fernández
(Universidad de Sevilla).  
When: May 17–21. Time to be confirmed. 

6. The argument structure of unergatives across theories by Isabel
Oltra-Massuet (Universitat Rovira i Virgili).  
When: May 31– June 4 from 4 PM to 6 PM Central European Time (UCT+01:00) 

7. Argument structure and quantification by Svitlana Antonyuk
(Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz).  
When: June 14–18. Time to be confirmed. 

8. Argument structure and word formation by Elisabeth Gibert-Sotelo
(Universitat Rovira i Virgili). Course conducted in Spanish. 
When: June 28–July 2. Time to be confirmed. 

9. Argument structure and neurolinguistics by Linnaea Stockall (Queen Mary
University London) and Laura Gwilliams (University of California San
Francisco).  
When: July 5–9. Time to be confirmed. 
It includes a Roundtable with Ellen Lau (University of Maryland), Alec Marantz
(NeLLab-NYU), and Liina Pylkkänen (NeLLab-NYU); convened by Linnaea Stockall
and Isabel Oltra-Massuet.  When: July 9. Time to be confirmed.
