Description:
Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics to teach four
classes in the academic year 2020-2021 in the area of Phonetics and Speech and
Language Pathology and to interact with graduate and undergraduate students
and assist them with their research and advise them on career plans.
[Qualifications]
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral Degree (Foreign equivalent or higher degree) in Linguistics or a
related field (e.g., Speech and Communication) in hand by June 1, 2020.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialization in phonetics.
- A record of research in phonetics.
- Prior clinical experience in speech and language pathology.
- Prior teaching experience with introductory speech and language pathology
classes on topics on such topics as: anatomy and physiology of speech and
hearing, language and speech disorders, and audiology.
- Experience with bilingual populations.
- Documented teaching excellence.
