The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of
Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a
full-time, nine-month, Visiting Lecturer in Korean Language and Culture,
beginning August 16, 2020.
Requirements: M.A. degree or higher in Korean language and culture or other
relevant area, including second-language acquisition, applied linguistics, and
language pedagogy. Other requirements include native or near-native
proficiency in Korean language and English. Candidates with experience
teaching Korean language at the US college/university level will be preferred.
Compensation: Salary is competitive, commensurate with qualifications and
experience, and includes a full benefits package.
Duties: (a) teach up to seven (7) undergraduate language classes per academic
year and (b) provide extracurricular support of the program through service
that includes weekly language tables and other activities relating to Korean
language use.
