Meeting Description:

The 51st Linguistics Symposium on Romance Languages (LSRL 51) will take place
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from April 29, 2020 to May
1, 2021.

We are happy to confirm the following plenary speakers: Heather Burnett
(Université de Paris 7-Denis Diderot), Anna María Escobar (University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), Jairo Nunes (Universidade de São Paulo), and
Ryan Shosted (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).


Call for Papers: 

We invite abstract submissions to LSRL51 for consideration as 20-minute talks
(plus 10 minutes for discussion) and/or poster presentations on any aspect of
Romance Linguistics. All abstracts should be anonymous, no more than 2 pages
in length (including examples and references), in 12-point font, 8.5x11-inch
page setup (=US letter), and with 1-inch margins. Submissions are limited to
one individual and one joint abstract, or two joint abstracts per author.
Abstracts and papers must be in English.

Notification of decision: February 1, 2021

Final decision on conference modality (F2F, hybrid, fully remote) will be
announced early in 2021.
