CLAREP PhD Thesis Writing Retreat

Focus: This is a five-day intensive coaching for PhD thesis writing.
Minimum Education Level: MA
Special Qualifications:
Humanities PhD students who are yet to begin writing their thesis or at early stages of their thesis writing.
Description:
Experienced academics will provide mentoring to the 30 participants expected
for the writing retreat. The training will involve presentations on proposal
writing, finding and refining topics, and developing research
questions/objectives, formulating research problems, engaging information
sources, and writing sections of the thesis. There will also be
hands-on-sessions and intensive reviews of submitted drafts. All participants
will be required to read the draft submissions of their colleagues and submit
their guided comments to the organisers.
Call for Submissions
Interested persons should write to us indicating their interest in the
programme, and subsequently submit the following documents.
Group 1:New PhD students who are yet to begin their thesis are expected to
submit a two-page draft of their intended proposal.
Group 2:PhD students who are already at the writing stage are required to
submit a draft of chapter 1 of their thesis.

Tuition Explanation: The fees will be used to cater for mentors, tea break and rentals (hall, sound
and media systems etc)
