Description:

Four Postdoctoral/Researcher positions in Multilingualism are available in the
Department of Language and Culture at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway.
The positions are affiliated with the AcqVA Aurora Centre (Language
Acquisition, Variation & Attrition): The Dynamic Nature of Languages in the
Mind. 

The appointments are fixed term positions for a period of three and a half
years.

Each of the four advertised positions will be linked to one of the four themes
of AcqVA Aurora.

Theme 1: Multilingual Minds and Factors Affecting Multilingual Outcomes (PIs:
Yulia Rodina, Fatih Bayram, Cécile de Cat)
Theme 2: Multilingual Minds and Cross-linguistic Influence (PIs: Merete
Anderssen, Natalia Mitrofanova, Ludovica Serratrice)
Theme 3: Multilingual Minds and Closely Related Varieties (PIs: Terje Lohndal,
Øystein Vangsnes, Elma Blom)
Theme 4: Multilingual Minds and Neuroanatomical Adaptations (PIs: Jason
Rothman, Jubin Abutalebi)

The application must include:

- Letter of application
- Contextualizing statement/proposal (max 2 pages), detailing how the
candidate will fit into the research done in AcqVA Aurora.
- Contextualizing statement/proposal, detailing how the candidate plans to
contribute to the research in the particular theme (1-2 pages) – one for each
position applied for.
- CV (containing a complete overview of education, supervised professional
training and professional work).
- Diplomas and references (scanned copies of degree and a list of three to
four references who can be contacted, inclusive of contact information).
- Three samples of published work or other professional writings.

Candidates applying for more than one postdoc/researcher position must
indicate this clearly in the application and include one contextualizing
statement/proposal for each job.
